Birds are getting ready to leave these shores and others are moving in great numbers, like our geese.
First light in Woodford. The four white marks in the sky on the right hand side are actually planes on the same flight path.
Local Canada Geese off on their way.
These Swallows will soon be off to Africa for the winter. I'll miss these little fellas.
What a beautiful sun rise. I would never have guessed those 4 white dots were aircraft - homing in on Manchester I assume.

ReplyDeleteI like the Canada Geese flying images.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots. I will miss the birds that are flying South, but am ready for the fall temps.
ReplyDeleteYou're right Adam, there's nothing quite like the early morning light to take photographs or just be out listening to birds waking up. The Swallow with the outstretched wing is great - just preening ready to fly south.
ReplyDeleteNice set of pictures - the sun rise and the swallows look like a real mix of seasons. The redstart post is alos a nice example of the kind of info that ringing generates.
