I could see the clouds breaking but it took a while for the light to really improve. By the time I got to Leasowe, and its very iconic lighthouse, the sun was peeping out and everything looked a lot better.
Unfortunately there wasn't too much action on the bird front and the tide was well out. Still, I had a nice little walk and its always nice to be at the coast and smelling that fresh air.

And with the blue sky that I was promised.

ReplyDeleteWonderful lighthouses but you captured the gull also really great!
ReplyDeleteDramatic skies in those lighthouse shots! Love the gulls.
ReplyDeleteI love it when the weather plays nice and blue skies appear! That gull is lovely!
ReplyDeleteGreat skyscapes. I have never been to the Wirral, maybe it's time I did.
ReplyDeleteThat's a cool lighthouse!

Your photos made me think of the book Jonathan Livingstone Seagull :)
ReplyDeleteHmmmm - I need to get up the coast and smell the sea air. But I will leave you to take the bird photos! Thanks for linking up to #AnimalTales again.
ReplyDeleteHello Adam!:) Superb light house shots, and beautiful gull captures. Almost can smell that sea air from your photos.:)
ReplyDeleteLove the contrast between the skies in the first two pictures. A blue sky certainly changes everything.
ReplyDeleteHere's my Wordless Wednesday!
I know it's a famous spot Adam. A shame the lighthouse didn't pull in the birds like some do. Never mind as like you say the coastal air is good to smell.

ReplyDeleteAmazing captures. Especially like the gull. Looks like you can reach in and touch it. Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos. I love the contrast between the stark whiteness of the lighthouse to that of the clouds in the sky. Very dramatic. The gull photos are great also.

ReplyDeleteLove the light house, the blue skies and the BH gull shots.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like my kinda day. Clouds, cool weather and some ocean birds......gulls are my favorites to ID. I'd say that's a good day out:)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors in these photos - love the white lighthouse and white-colored gull in front of that blue sky and puffy clouds.
ReplyDeleteExcellent photos.

Oh my....lighthouses are so 'romantic' and I love 'em. Beautiful one you shared. And my goodness, I would say it's perfect weather. Love the gulls too. Something about the sea/coast that pulls me in that direction.
ReplyDeleteThank you for adding your link this week at I'd Rather B Birdin'.
Neat shot of the gull and that lighthouse is super cool.
ReplyDeleteThere s nothing like being on the Coast! Birds are always a great bonus, but just being in the Ocean air makes me happy.
ReplyDeleteIt's never a bad day at the beach as far as I'm concerned! Your lighthouse is quite unusual and your shots are just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI have several weather apps. I was most happy to have them when we are traveling to see our daughter and grandson. The fog can be nasty in the mountains and this warns you so at least you know what you will be dealing with... Gulls always looks so serious...Michelle
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing so refreshing as breathing the good sea air! (The Black-headed gull isn't very black-headed, is it!)
