With not a lot going on in my usual birding places, I popped over to Redesmere once again. Only things on note really were a couple of Goosander at the far side. They were too far away for my lens, but they are a lovely bird to see.
I made do with some birds that came closer to me.
Coot.
Tufted Duck.
A Mallard having a stretch
Fantastic photography of beautiful wildlife ~ Love the close up of the 'Tufted Duck' ~ (A Creative Harbor) ^_^
ReplyDeleteCute shots of the ducks and coot! Thanks for sharing, have a great day!
ReplyDeleteWonderful captures Adam. Thanks for sharing - especially like the mallard stretching!
ReplyDeleteThe Coot capture is cute! I like its yellow eyes.
ReplyDeleteAll lovely pictures...the one of the mallard is really special.
ReplyDeleteWow, I wouldn't consider this "making do"--these are beauties. Great shots!
ReplyDeleteTufted duck is one of my favourite birds. I meant to ask earlier, is that your fabulous Whooper Swan picture on the RSPB Burton Mere facebook page?
ReplyDeleteThanks Heather. Yes it is my picture. I was very fortunate that it came and flew right in front of the hide at Inner Marsh Farm, just as I was packing up for the day too.
DeleteBeautiful captures! I LOVE that you caught the water droplets too :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful series Adam!
ReplyDeleteThe Tufted Duck with his yellow eye is my fave - nice portrait of it!
Great photos. I like the drops of water on the duck!
ReplyDeleteI love Coots ... they are so funny to watch and cute like little wind up toys. But, your Tufted Duck is amazing ... I love the intensity of the eyes. I don't think I have seen one before, so this was a real treat. Thanks for your "make do" photos. I wish I could make do so well ... :)

ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos.
ReplyDeleteNice picture - sometimes a study in slate grey is all you need. Its been a winter or two since I last saw a Tufftie!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking to WBW. I was in Oman all last week, hence the slow reply!
