I spotted a Kingfisher sitting in the red Dogwood. Too distant for the camera but great to watch through the binoculars. Plenty of gulls on the water and Cormorants at the end of the spit.
A pair of Mute Swans swam close to the shore line near to the car park and allowed me to get this nice close up .
Mute Swan
One of many Stock Dove seen from the Bunting hide.
Willow Tit on a frosty branch.
Love the shot of the willow tit. What a beautiful little bird.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. The close-up of the swan is especially great.
ReplyDeleteLovely shots, I was there about 10 days ago and got GSW, stock dove and water rail. Could not find willow tit or a nuthatch and missed the kingfisher. Hopefully next time. Mind you I still clocked 39 species in a couple of hours in the late afternoon. The hides closed at 1545! I need a better camera if you check out my blog you can see why.
ReplyDeleteA great series of shots, Adam! I especially love the Mute Swan.

ReplyDeleteFantastic birds but I really love the Stock Dove.
ReplyDeleteFantastic captures, all! I'd swoon for a swan! The Tit is similar to our Carolina Chickadee. Sweet little bird!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful birds and photos!
ReplyDeleteNice shots.
ReplyDeleteThe coloration of the dove is different from what I am used to - seems to be almost a very pale blue hue. Quite pretty.
