Marsh Tit - Norfolk
From the hide at Sculthorpe we had plenty of other birds besides Brambling. One of those was a lifer for me. The Marsh Tit. Very similar to a Willow Tit, to the point that I really can't tell them apart. Thanks to the expertise of my birding friends, this was definitely a Marsh Tit. With it's shiny head, it's a lovely little bird.

It looks just like our chickadees! Like yours, it's sometimes hard to tell the difference between the Carolina and Black-capped Chickadees. Love those Long Tailed Tits!
ReplyDeleteYour photos show it in all its glory. Although the long tailed tits are regular garden visitors but I have never seen a marsh tit.
ReplyDeleteNice serie of photos!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots, it does look like our Chickadees. I love the longtails, very pretty.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet little bird, and yes they do look like North American Chickadees.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos and I like the crowd of birds at the feeder.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures - used to get Marsh and Willow in the car park at Leighton moss - I could only split them with confidence on call. They all looked to have shiny heads to me!
ReplyDeleteCheers and thanks for linking to WBW
