Goyt Valley

I have made a few visits to the Goyt Valley in the Peak District just recently. There are some really stunning birds there at this time of year. I managed to locate a pair of Common Redstart quite a few Spotted Flycatchers, Pied Flycatchers, Dippers and Grey Wagtails along the river and Curlews calling in the distance and Short Eared Owls. I've also heard Cuckoos, but am yet to see one.

Willow Warbler

And finally,  I couldn't resist. The Short Eared Owl

  8. Lovely stuff Adam

Well done for getting the Redstart images, something I havent got to grips with yet.... I shall keep trying though. I did see a pair down at Clough House carpark a few weeks ago but they made it hard work for me.... and they won!

  9. Hi Adam. My name is Osian Griffiths, I work for a production team and we will be filming a wildlife series this spring across the England. It would be great if we could discuss this location when you have time, as Im keen to find out what locations in the Goyt Valley to concentrate on, should we visit. We will also be looking for a fixer to help us on the day.

    many thanks
