At the car park area there are lots of feeders that are regularly topped up by a local birder. These have brought in some good birds during the winter months, in the shape of Brambling, Willow Tit and Lesser Redpoll. I managed to see a Brambling while I was watching, but it was camera shy.
This very nice looking male Bullfinch was a pleasant surprise.
A Dunnock on territory and looking very nice too.
There were three Goldeneye on the water, but sadly they didn't hang around.
How very considerate of the kind soul who tops up the feeders.
ReplyDeleteHello, great collection of photos. The Bullfinch is my favorite. I love the Goldeneye ducks. Great flight captures! Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteHello Adam. Photos are great. The photo of bullfinch is very artistic. The Common Buzzard looks fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI rarely see Bullfinches. They are just so scarce here on the coast, but 15 miles inland much more common.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful birds you've captured! Great photos too!

ReplyDeleteAren't the ducks funny skimming across the top of the water! And I've been trying to do some art...and wonder how I could get the color of that Bullfinch! So beautiful! Enjoy your weekend!

ReplyDeleteAll great birds... looking happy with where they are.. Except for the goldeneyes, who look like they’re late for a meeting somewhere else ...lovely portraits of all the perchers.

ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing at https://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2019/04/somethings-squirrely-on-april-fools-day.html
What a lovely view to behold! Your captures of their day sure brightens my day. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteYou caught some nice varieties and I'm impressed how well you can spot and name the birds you see. I saw a turkey vulture the other day and can't say I've seen one outside of the zoo before. I've also noticed some pretty bold hawks circling close to traffic. The male bullfinch looks like he's telling you he doesn't want his picture taken (:
ReplyDeleteThose are amazing photos, and the birds are just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteNice action shot. The last one is my fav.
ReplyDeleteFabulous series of birds! I always find it lots of fun to see them doing what they do.
